The History of the House:
The house itself was built in 1925 as a home for the parish doctor. Original 1920s features still remain to this day including antique service bells and a large arts and crafts style stained glass window in our lobby.
As our name suggests, the grounds of the Tilery Bed and Breakfast were once the location of a thriving tile works. During the 18th Century many local people were employed here to make tile and brick from the rare blue clay of the Arney River and Tilery lake. Many tiles made here can be found in homes around Fermanagh and the surrounding area including Florencecourt House.
You are most welcome to explore our grounds and take in the history and nature of the atmospheric surroundings.
There are three guest sitting areas within the house, each with an open fire. The lager of the sitting areas has a TV with free-view. Free Wi-fi is available within the house. You are welcome to avail of laundry and cooking facilities. Hairdryers are available in bedrooms (please ask). Towels are provided. There is ample parking on site.
